This should be the last Opel I suggest (I'll leave any suggestions not done yet towards hardcore Opel fans). Someone in my Astra OPC thread told me about this Coupe and I actually like that idea. Of course, I would be happy either way if PD were to include this or the Astra OPC Turbo in GT.

Another interesting thing I just noticed when looking this Astra up, it was apparently styled by Bertone.

It was definitely styled by Bertone. Thank you for this suggestion.
You're welcome.

It really has been a while since PD update Opel's lineup and I just plain would love to see some road variant Astras rather than just the 2000 DTM model. I can only hope this or some other Astra ends up in a future GT title.

Voted.

Until we get OPC models that one will do. Current lineup, apart from Speedster and DTM models, is boring.

I never understood why the current lineup was done the way it is, there was a OPC Vectra and a GSi Corsa (1.8 NA with 125hp) both would have been better suited for implementation in the game. Its always top end models for anything except Opel, thats kind of weird.

The 888 Edition is also a pretty nice Astra that to my knowledge hasn't been suggested yet. Not sure if there was an Opel version though...

I dont think there was an Opel version, because BTCC related and therefore probably Vauxhall only. This is how PD should handle it with both brands though, normal Astra Coupe as suggested above under Opel and the 888 Edition as Vauxhall.

The best version looks the same but has 200 HP according to wiki. 888 edition is also less powerful but it's sportier. Also, there is a DTM version but it's made by Irmscher with 226 HP but it's not as amazing as X-Treme concept

@VXR - You might be interested in voting on this.

I remember this being pitted against the Celica and FTO back in a 2001 issue of CAR magazine. It had an interesting claim to fame: the cheapest vehicle for sale in the UK capable of hitting 150mph.
