Opening .INI and .BIG files

I'm looking for some software that will allow me to open and write to .INI files and .BIG files, I've tried searching and I found some software for .INI files but the only one that would actually download wouldn't install. I also would like to find out how to open .BIG files, but I couldn't find any tools for that. Does anyone know of any programs that would be able to do this?

ini files can be created using notepad. Just change the .txt to .ini

There are quite a few different filetypes for the .big http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=big&Search=Search

Ah ok, thanks. I'm not exactley upto speed on all things technical .

You shouldn't need to change the file extension from .ini to .txt. Just right-click and select "Open With" --> Notepad. saves a step.
