I've been an frequent reader the last couple of weeks/months and i think it's time to post my first topic.... so please be gentle :D

I bought a G25 a couple of months ago and i was really into GT5P at a moment, i thought of myself as an better then average driver. :dunce:

About a six weeks ago i loaned my ps3 to a friend for testing his new plasma (and not to get distracted during exams :scared: ) so now i finally got it back and hooked it all up, and started racing again...

After a couple of races i noticed something horrible.... i was a really bad driver i completely lost the feeling for the game and the wheel. It looks like i i have to start all over again to become somewhat competitive :indiff:

So my question to you guy's (and girls?) is how much time do you spend to keep you're skills up to date...

5-6 days a week for me...Around 2-3 hours

7 days unknown amount of hours

I'm on for around 8-10hrs a week..... i'd like it to be more, but i have an agreement to show my wife some attention.......

Just use reverse psychology on her and challenge each other in the time trials. That way you can spend 'time' with her and indulge in GT fanaticism at the same time. Works for me!

5 days a week, unknown amount of hours as well, and still have A LOT of room for improvement.

5-6 days a week, 2-4 hours a day. But mainly on Daytona Road Course mastering the first turn at higher speeds.

driving gt is like riding a bike/swimming/walking....once youve got the feeling,it never goos away...
at least for me...
whas on a 3 week hollyday few months ago and after i got home it only took me one lap on suzuka to get into "the zone" again.....lol.

spyrrari.

Im fine as long as I dont spend too long on another driving game....getting used to physics models again is a pain.

I used to have 1 and 2 week gaps between play before, and I was fine, so I dont have to keep it up that much, I just have to practice a bit in free run before racing, but I dont count that, as I would expect everyone does that when they first start playing each day.

I can go weeks without really loosing much in terms of pace. I think I have become used to the G25 as I tend not to play that often but it doesn't affect my driving to much. I guess it depends from driver to driver.

Well I've raced quite a lot last night and I'm starting to notice a difference already :)
I also think i've been sim racing (with a wheel) for a very short time so that must explain my rapid decrease in ‘skill’ :)
