hey, i've got some (i think) cool avatars made, but i can't put them up because of size restrictions. the 7 or 8 GIF optimizers or compressors (whatever you want to call them) take off like 2%. yes i already searched. does anyone have a good one (preferably not humongous) that would actually be effective??

Just make smaller avatars. Or use grayscale. Or just fewer colors.
 
Get webspace to upload your avatars to. A good place would be hypermart.net and they allow you to have direct links.
 
But what would the point be? They couldn't be used as avatars.
 
If you did that, they'd still be too big to use dumbarse.
