Well, with the latest improvements on 2.02, we received the gift of changing wheels on the standard cars, wich is lovelly because one of the few aspects that we can make our cars looks like "ourselves" in GT5 is by changing the color and wheels. In some cases, adding wings and aerodynamics parts on premiums BUT some cars are know for looking interesting without the wing, like the MKIV Supra, LanEvo, Scoobies, etc. Of course, thats personal opinion, and doesn't mean that the car behaviour or handling is any better. In some cases, it can improve the performance, talking strictly of Drag Racing cars, where the wing may not be necessary.

As I can see, GT5 sees the wings as separated "instances" from the car body, so it would not be complicated to have an option to remove the wing in some cars.

What you guys think about having this option?

Some examples:

I am with you.
How hard can it be? we have the same wings for the last 9000years, They cant give us some new designs that's for sure but i hope that they can give us the option to remove them.

Some one may be able to confirm but aren't the premium car's panals all modeled separately? If not, it should be easy enough to "pull off" the spoiler.

I was just thinking about this last night while I was putting wheels on my new....Supra.

Imagine that.

Spot on. EXACTLY the same thing. Was changing wheels on my 510pp Dark Green Supra and tought about that.

They should have had this option from the start, because even the standard car that can have a wing added, you see the spoiler actually removed from the body. Only works for some cars as some tend have spoilers that are actually part of the body design and would look ridiculous and alter vehicle dynamics(S7, NSX, Camaro the older models, jaguar XJ220, just to name a few).

I voted no.
I would never really use the option, and other things take priority in my opinion.

Most standards that have it, have a rear wing separated from their bodywork, so such an option could be easily implemented for all cars that can have an aftermarket rear wing fitted.

I totally agree with this! There are cars in my garage that need this so bad!

This is my Mutang GT...

That wing is keeping it from looking like this...

ANybody wish for an option to remove 1 wheel? Or even remove the front wind shield....PD GET TO WORK!

Assuming that you're serious, we could apply that to the Citroen Xantia and see if it's true that it can run on three wheels.

Oh wait...

...nevermind...

I'd like a spoiler delete option so much. I can get rid of the cheesy spoilers the manufactures put on.

I'd actually like to have that option. No other game seems to properly implement this (Forza 4 you can completely remove an R32 GT-R spoiler though?).

I'd probably de-wing a Mitsubishi GTO (sometimes they look nice without spoilers) and a series 6 RX-7 as they can look real nice without rear spoilers.

OMG I've always wanted to remove the spoiler off the Supra... and the Cobra-R! I've always wanted this option. I don't see what it could hurt??

Yes please!

I remember you could remove the stock rear spoiler from every single car in Touge Max G on PS1. ;)

Skyline_77
I would like a wing-less Skyline :D

plus, F40 and Superbird. Just for fun. :sly:

Well, you can't do that to an F40, the wing is part of the car. It's not like a Skyline, with its wing bolted onto the trunk...

That Supra looks good without the spoiler. But Evo's are meant to have spoilers :p It would be a good option though, certainly.

The Evo GT-A doesnt have one. The one in the game has one because it's an aero option. Looking almost as a regular Lancer makes it a good sleeper car 👍
