First ever?!?!??!?!?

I've had *counts fingers* 5 so far.

Two of them this year (:D)

My mum likes that phone enough, and it looks like a good first buy :)

I've had ummmmmm, well I've had 7 difference phones this year not as many last year. I've got three at the moment, a Sony P800, Sony P990i and a T700i.

This year i have had quite a few phones as well: descending order Sony Ericsson W800i . Samsung D500, Samsung E700, Sony Ericsson T610, Nokia 6600, Nokia 3200. Now i'm on a contract i hope my phone buyage decreases lol!!

I think my mum is right... some of the prices they want for these phones arn't worth it for the time we keep them... Luckily all my phones have been "free" with the plan.

You bought a phone without BlueTooth. You'll regret it in future 👎

I've only ever had 2 phones. A Siemens A50 and a Sony Erikson T630. All on Pay as you Go with Virgin Mobile.

I would have to agree there. That's one of the reasons i got rid of my 3220.

Both on Virgin? You poor poor man ...

Hey! Virgin is pretty good.

3p network txts (a few mates used to be on Virgin, now only Jack is I think) and everything is 5p/min after 5 minutes.

My friend had virgin, and it was crap. Someone else i know had yur phone on virgin and was ok though, so maybe it's just my friend's phone.

You can't blame a network for the phone. The service and signal maybe, but the phone no.

Apart from waiting 15 minutes for support (It was 10p standard rate so no matter how long I waited it only cost me 10p) I've never had a problem.

That's what i'm talking about. The signal was useless, especially around the town our school is in. It was a Sendo something or other. Sony Ericsson all the way!

Sendo... That explains it.

Though I won't deny there being a few deadspots. Jack's house being one of them.

Don't go down the road of buying rubbish brands. Motorola = crap. No proof needed, they just are. Go with a highly reputable brand that actually creates good phones i.e. Sony Ericsson. Great phones, no comparison. W800 is the best phone i've ever bought. Before that the K700 was the best phone i ever had and before that the P800 was (yes the K700 was better than the P800). I've never found a close comparison in any other brand, and i've had a lot of phones.

:odd: yeah... ok so the material is but I'd much rather that than a ****ty operating system like Sony Ericsson.. I'm surprized people put up with that crap.

I miss my old LG... those were great phones before getting popular and becoming crap. :(

LG were never big over here.

I dunno what is up with Motorola US but Motorla UK are a very strong brand. If you're getting a clamshell it has to be either Motorola or Samsung.

Only problem with SonyErik is the lag I sometimes get. And I think there's sand in my joystick.

What's all this "material" business? Are Motorolas made out of paper mache or something?

I've never had a problem with any SE OS and i've sampled the Symbian OS and the cellular OS. I had more problems with my Samsung phone a couple of years back than all my SE phones put together. SE phones are the most popular new mobile purchase in my locale, the W800 sold out on release and i had to get mine shipped specially from another county there were so few. Almost everyone i know that's bought a phone in the last couple of months has bought a SE (K750 mostly, but orange isn't for everyone) and suprisingly they haven't all gone back crying for a refund. Where did you get this idea that SE phones had OS problems? Or was "than a ****ty operating system" just the first thing to enter your mind. ExigeExcel's joystick problem is the only one i've ever heard of.

Basically i was stating that you can do a lot better than Motorola.

Don't want to know thank you.

I'm a Sony Erricsson person, I think their top spec phones are superb. My main phone I use at the moment is the best phone on the market, and notably so. I'm supposed to be getting the W900 soon as well, I go through crap loads of phones though, I've got rid of my T700i just last week, not the best phone I've had to put it nicely. I was thinking of one to thoes 8800's, they look stylish, I don't need another phone for function, but that one as I said, looks good. I've only spent about £300 on phones in my life time, mobile phones anyway.

Agreed 100%, Sony Erricsson's don't have OS problems, not widespread ones anyway. A mate of mine had a recurring fault on his but he got it replaced and it worked fine after that. I mean, I prefer the top spec Sony Erricsson phones (ie the P800, then P900, P910 now P990) to anything else for what I use a phone for and I've never had any problems with them exept leaving one in the back of a Taxi in Gran Canaria, but thats a different story.

I've never had motorola quality issues, but i don't own one because i don't like their menus. I love my SE, really happy with it.

Evan: My joystick has had a few teething problems, but it's fine now.

A mate's and my own phone have both had the lag problem (Both T630) when there is little memory left.

The sand problem (Haha Dave) is my own fault, if I'm gonna leave my phone in my pocket on the beach or put it in a well used togbag it's my own faukt.
