It's a neat shape that everyone can enjoy. The Camaros were also fine looking cars, and quite restrained in appearance during that 1967-69 period.

Here's a very rare 1974 SD 455 Firebird Formula, with more elaborate looks.

It does look quieter given the one black color overall, and the absence of the big bird decal found on Trans Ams.

I have to admit I never liked that front, seemed out of place to me.. one of my fav Firebirds would be attached!

Yeah, the Trans Am only came around in 1969 MY. It's very rare that you get to see an early unmodified 326 machine, normally people take the ordinary ones and turn them into 400 or T/A clones.
That's a beautiful 1970 Formula and the next link shows a 1973 SD 455 Trans Am with more normal bumpers.
