I already have the Stage 4 one installed but now that I'm reading the description for the original one it appears to be better but if I install it into my car (Supra RZ) the HP will go from 853 to 838.... what to do what to do... thanks in advance anyone.

The original turbo produces less power than the stage 4 turbo but improves low and midrange power and torque, meaning that in any use other than top speed running the original turbo is a better choice than the stage 4 turbo. The turbo lag with a stage 4 turbo is a lot more noticeable than that with an original turbo, so leaving corners at low to mid speed and revs you'll feel better acceleration with the original turbo than the stage 4.

All right. Thanks for the explanation. Was a bit more clear than the caption at the bottom of the screen. I also wanted an opinion from someone who's used both which helps. Thanks -- Thread closed.

Just as a quick side-note, I agree with all of Amp's post (good explanation) except to point out that even in top speed runs, Original Turbo is still more effective than Stage 4 Turbo. It doesn't look like it should be, but from a lot of roadcar speed-testing experience I've learnt that the Original Turbo is better for high-speed.
So, in any given situation, you're better off with an Original Turbo kit. And it's cheaper  👍

Yeah I observed that yesterday it really uped the acc. and top speed despite the HP. Thanks for pointing that out. Was kinda curious if I was seeing things or if I was really noticing an increase in performace.

Theres at least one car as well where the Original turbine gives you higher HP than the Stage 4. So I think we are agreed, Original is better in 95% of situations. 👍
