I'm not big on Mission Control. I like how I use Spaces and other things of Snow Leopard, hence 👎.
I prefer Mission Control. The only thing I don't like about it is how badly it works with multiple monitors. That, and all the quirky glitches.
One thing that I find myself using surprisingly often is Launchpad... which I thought I'd never use. I even removed all the applications from my dock, since it's more convenient to just have the apps in the dock be the apps which are currently running and just launch everything with Launchpad. My only gripe with Launchpad is the gesture. Yeah, it makes "sense", given the animation of how it comes onto the screen... but frankly, it's not the most convenient gesture in the world. It took me a while to get proficient at pulling it off, and even then it'll sometimes take me two attempts before I successfully bring up Launchpad. A while back, a friend of mine was inquiring about my Macbook Pro, and so I showed him a few things. He saw me bring up Launchpad, and tried to do it himself... He gave it 5 tries, all unsuccessful. So I showed him how to do the gesture again, and he gave it a few more tries. He never got it. I
really wish you could assign it to three-finger swipe down. And for that matter, I really just wish OSX gave us more flexibility in customizing which gestures do what.
Btw, I'm actually already running OSX Mountain Lion... the developer preview, that is.
Not sure.
They do not do beta tests do they unless you own a mac do they, i want to see how good a mac is without forking over what little money i have.
On a side note. I know the OSX O/S are named after big cats, what are they going to do when they used them all?
Cougar & Jaguar are two that they have not used.
Can't think of any subspecies.
Good thing Apple's almost done with OSX. 10.8 is Mountain Lion, and then 10.9 will presumably be the last of "OSX" because the next version would be 11.
Whatever comes after OSX, whether it's OS 11 or iOSX, it'll probably have a different naming convention.
