other games for PS2

hi all,
i was just wondering what other good car type games there are.
i have rented Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero, and thought that was MAD, just the hole thought of driving around and racing other people on the streets was cool, and the only game i have on my PS2 in GT3, and i love it, so any help would be cool.

If you're into trucks and SUVs, try 4X4 Evo. It's like GT3, you have to by a truck and race to get more money and buy parts and stuff. Graphics are great, and gameplay is good too.

The Nascar games are always fun.

Tokyo is an exellent game, like GT also, you can buy body mods and stuff. Not as good of feel as GT, but still lots of fun.

what do you think of the graphics on 4x4 evo for ps2? I'm used to the PC version and when I checked out some small screenshots for the ps2, I was apalled? is it pretty clear or full of "low resolutioness"-a new word because I'm too lazy to think about what word I really want to use ;)

Man this is just my opion but i thought that 4x4 evo was very bad. I just could not get in to that game. The graphics where good but, the game play sucked. sorry if yall dont agree but just giving my opinion. :confused: :eek:
 
it was alright on the PC, with a wheel and BEFORE my friend downloaded the trainer for it. After that it was just a matter of making good looking trucks. They tried hard but did not make the physics like driving a truck, probably because then nobody would want to play, lol. Also, why in the heck can't you drive up on rocks in the game!!! I mena, you can if you really try, but they are modelled wierd and it's just nothing like in a real truck. So much for using those cool suspensions you can buy. I figured they'd take care of that in Evo2 but no go. They just added a winch, some vehicals and took out the coolest views.. just my opinion tho i guess, and probably shouldn't go here, lol.

my opinion on twisted-black was that it's a great multiplayer game but I didn't really like it as a single. Also it's not really a racing sim, so it might not fit everybodies idea of somthing to follow GT. pretty fun game anyways. (until your freakin lazy friend looks up cheats and starts using God mode and stuff, LOL. I was also mad that dollface decided to leave her mask on after I won with her!?)
 
ok, got some cool games there, what about none car games, like tony hawk 3, any one played that, and is it like the other 2 before it.
and is it worth getting a i.LINK?? cuase thay sound cool, but i'm not 100% about what thay do.

i.Link is to essentially network your PS2's. granted its not the same, but wut it does is it allows you with your TV and your PS2 to hook up with your friend and his TV and his PS2, and play against/with eachother. so its like splitscreen gameing without splitting the screen. and it boils down to twice the cost :D
 
Tony Hawk is good stuff, if you like that whole kind of "sports" kind of game. I want to try X-games snowboarding. It's said to be too realistic but that sounds like my kind of game. Graphics look sweet too, and being able to dress your dude, clothes moving and everything like dat. I just bought Ico. Complete different kind of game, it's a 3d puzzle strategy kind of game. I think it is absolutely amazing. (it's by Sony) Uhh, Jak and Daxter is great stuff, ATV offroad fury is great too. especially just being a plain idiot in 2p mode! Crash Wrath of Cortex, thats good stuff, although I'm on the endguy a little sooner than I want to be. But that's aight because I'm usign all my other games to pace myslef on the ones that seem to be going to quick. I'm nowhere near 100% either because I have alot of crystals to go back and get. Apparently Ico is a short game too, but I'm pacing myelf on it and I love it no matter how fast I complete it due to its awesome graphics and surround sound etc. Right now I got eight games, all of which I have mentioned in this thread I think. (PS2 games) I think they all kick azz, EXCEPT Ridge Racer V. I can't even sell that game for more than $2 :mad:
