other ways to turn off PC??

I recently just swtiched back to my wireless keyboard that has a zillion extra buttons on it. I was wondering if there is a way I could program one of the buttons to put my PC in hibernate mode. I can program a combination of keystrokes, but it won't let my program the "Start" button so that won't work to turn it off.

Is there a file somewhere on my computer that controls turning it off, stanby, hibernate, ect?? If I could find a file like that I could just program one of the buttons to open that file.

Any comments?

Assuming your on windows XP, if you go to the Control Panel, and then to Power Settings, theres options for setting up the power/sleep buttons on your keyboard on the advanced tab. I think this allows you to do what you need. 👍
