Nice car, cream cheese.

Congratulations.

Speaking of GTI's, today I saw a GTI with potato cutter wheels in front of an amped-sounding E320 which kept beeping at everyone. The GTi driver stuck out a middle finger, and then then took off, and the E320 chased it. They then made a U-turn and drag raced down the street... The GTi won.

Great car - I love the tranny choice! 👍

It was either the DSG or a stick. We wanted an auto because my sister and I don't know how to drive a stick. Why we can't learn I don't know. I have a friend who has offered to teach me.

That car is a little rocket. The transition from our XC70 was a bit jerky, but I am learning pedal control very well. Shifts are the only things that faze my smoothness now. Just a little throttle input makes that car take off faster than any car will at full acceleration.

Tomorrow, we are taking it to the dealer to pay for it and get the dings fixed up. We may be without it for the rest of the week.:(

Nice car, but aren't you missing a pedal? (not knowing how to drive stick is no excuse either, but buying a standard GTI is a great reason to learn)

Flappy paddles FTW!

I'm pretty jealous right now, the GTI is my realistic dream car. So great selection on the car. Good luck with it and congrats 👍.

Come to this campus. My roommate runs a supercharged Range Rover, one of four current-gen Rovers on campus. And there's always this:

That left front rim is about to get ****ed. Oh and someone is going to smash into the rear of it.

I would bitchslap the person who parked my Gallardo like that.

SUCCESS!!!

Today we spend a good long time at the Bellevue VW dealer. We left with another car to add to our garage: A 2006 MKV GTI. Black, two door, leather interior. There are quite a fw dents and scratches, but the dealer said they would repair those for free! 22K miles. The cost? $19,850. I am super happy and have been driving it around for quite awhile.

Congratulations on the purchase. 👍

I've driven a TDI (Goal edition), and the 1.6 FSI of the new Golf. Very nice comfortable cars, with the TDI being somewhat quick even!

It wasn't my call, though I would have preferred a stick. It would have given be great incentive to learn as fast as possible!

The ride is almost perfect. Some parts of our beat-up freeways have a little too much up-and-down at once to make the car comfortable, but other than that, I would have preferred the bigger wheels with lower profile tires. It feels very secure going around corners.

The engine is awesome, too. That thing can pull out way faster than anything I have driven. It sounds great; four turbocharged cylenders through a not very restricted exhaust is a perfectly fine substitute for a V8. Speaking of the engine:

It turns out that we didn't take it in yet today, so I had a good chance to take more pictures. Too bad the engine cover is in the way.:guilty:

The DSG is so much better than a manual, coolest automatic I've ever driven.

I just picked up a few friends and drove them around in it. At the time, I was using the knob to shift. One thought I was using a manual, and was floored when he found out what it was!

Add another hour to my time behind its wheel. Too bad we're about to leave to take it to the shop.:(

Nice car philly, if you don't get it, buy you own. :D

I will fight to drive it whenever I can. They also say I can "have" it when I'm done with college. I don't know how desirable it will be then. Of course, a MKI would be pretty sweet to have now.
