We race a class called Stock Cars USA, and/or Pure Stock. The cars are mid 70s cars that are above or equal to 108 inch wheel base. The interior is completely removed including dash every piece of plastic or fabric. We mount racing seats to the 4 point welded roll cage. We run a 350 Chevy engine. Its mostly stock, the exhaust is flowmaster. We run hoosier short track tires on AERO racing wheels. The car is red and silver #3 driven by my dad. Hope you guys like this its a bit different.

Hey! a stocker racer! good to see you!

Oh, wow...looks like the old Grand Nats back in the day.

yep, the series director guy who races with us too. he wanted us all to paint our cars nostalgic like back in the 70s stuff. And he said he had a paint sponsor for us all. But that fell through. So we kept our car the clean red and silver its always been.

Well, that's pretty '70s accurate...I mean, what was he going for, DW's Gatorade chevy?

Looks like good fun. I'm liking the period livery too 👍

Do you guys run entirely on short, tarmac ovals?

Wow!!!! That is sooo cool!:) The noise! the noise! You are soo lucky! This is one of the main reasons why i want to visit the USA!!!!!!!
It looks like a lot of fun!
The race mods are pretty cool too!👍

I'm not a big fan of this type or racing, or any type of racing involving a circular track, but it's nice to be involved in some kind of racing anyways I guess.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments guys. Tommi2000 we race on this 1/4 mile oval shown and a 1/3 mile oval in Irwindale,ca. We might be moving up a class next year to a class called super stocks. The cars have a bit more performance and speed. But we will see since its money money money. If we move up to super stock we will race on the 1/2 mile at irwindale. And the same 1/4 mile in the video. Our car is inspired by the 70s nascar paint jobs. Simple two tone with a little flare to it. Thanks everyone.

the 1/2 mi...is that the same track that the D1GP boys run on?

ever thought about giving the Japanese a one-for? ;)

Nah, just kidding. Still, it's neat to see all that.

By the by, The Cracker, who commented up there, runs a Lotus Cortina in historic road races.

yes the 1/2 mile at irwindale is the same track they use for the D1. They use both tracks actually.

I'll be da...rned.
