What is wrong with my NASCAR handling on the special events? Hasy anyone passed this test using a controller? It seems like the steering is all or nothing. I either scrub the wall or bump cones every time. Even when I think it is "perfect" I still lose by over half a second. This is infuriating!:grumpy:

I got a couple of silvers couple of bronzes with it using a DS3. I wish I could afford a wheel and had the room to put it.

I got gold with the controller the trick is to ease off the gas and don't fully turn the analogue stick. It took a few attemps but i know what you are on about, the nascar cars you always have to correct yourself because the cars behave weird. Its much easier with a wheel. Later on it won't be the turning that bothers you it will be the ai ramming you off especially daytona lol. More frustration is yet to come.

I have not really enjoyed the special events or the license tests much because its simply too difficult trying to get gold with a DS3. I wish there were more A-spec events.

Also i don't know who else has noticed this but in the jeff gordon events you are forced to play with ASM on and cannot turn it off but if you use a wheel as soon as you start you can turn it off and it makes you a lot faster around the curcuit. I breezed past everyone doing this trick and it makes you a lot faster, the ASM thinks you are going to spin while your going around the corners so it makes you slower but its not needed in the nascar events at all i do not know why you are forced to use it.

Yeah i got all golds on the nascar special, the challenges are not hard at all, abs and asm off.

i passed it with a controller, just do tiny jolts really often, and make sure to turn the volume RIGHT down so you cant here the constant "don't hit the cones"
