First I apologized for not adding this to another thread, I know there is one on this subject but 20 mins of searching and I still cant find it.
Basically I just want to point out the this issue can be helped by adding readily available heat sinks to the motor(s). I've already established that the case comes apart easily with screws and there is a good deal of room for a heat sink. Also for those who sweat their warrantee, my DFGT has no tags etc to prevent removing the cover. Pretty much all the companies making R/C electric cars will offer heat sinks...link below to one of the bigger shops:

a little FYI too, if my experience is an indicator, the electronics driving the motor is the weak link. So keeping the motor cool will primarily improve wear and changes in force when the motor overheats. On the otherhand, that may allow you to put more load on the electronics....probably not a good thing. So I'd say keep the level of force feedback moderate...max it and I'd bet with enough driving something will fail.

i was thinking about installing an active 120mm fan on top of the chassis. saw that in an other thread and think this could help. though i didn´t had problems till now, wheel gets warm but nothing critical..

I had a G25 for years, used for up to 3 hours at a pop, FF on full, and never had any overheating issues. Maybe England is too chilly!?

Same here in AUS tiger, My g25 has seen 4 and 5 hour stints. But regardless its good to see a workaround for those that have experienced it.

My old G25 would get hot enough to scramble eggs when driving the F2007 in Prologue, but it never had any associated problems so I never worried about it.
