Now this is going to sound stupid (think Miss Teen South Carolina stupid), but which do you prefer. The in-game description of tuning stuff says that racing cars are usually tuned for understeer. Now i have also heard from those who tune their cars for oversteer as well...
So here is my question, Oversteer or Understeer? If so, why?

I, for one, prefer to spin gracefully in a ball of tyre smoke that to clunk a wall and be subject to the godawful damage simulation.... :dopey:

I'm not good at explaining things so I'll give my "raw" point of view:

I rather have a bit of oversteer, simply because it doesn't slow you down like understeer. Plus it's fun to let the tail loose every now and then.

Understeer sucks big time. It makes you feel like you are not in control of the car and it almost always will slow you down.

But it depends on each's driving preferences.

I always prefer understeer. Less strain on the tyres and much more controllable for consistent laps.

I'd rather have oversteer for sure, because in the end, you're still getting around the corner. Maybe not in the fastest, cleanest way possible, but you're making the turn. With understeer, you can hit a wall, go off, etc. It's a pain in the rear.
