Overtaken before start!

Tonight I was in an online race at the Highspeed Ring.

Starting from third place, the race had just begun and I had only had the cockpit view for a fraction of a second and none of the cars had crossed the start line yet and a Beemer Concept I series tore past us all at about 150mph!

Is this related to the talk of someone breaking the code for GT5 Prologue and running the Ferrari F1 car in events that it shouldn't be eligible for? Seems that there are several issues already that need attention.
 
that´s just some kind of network issue. happened to me last night on suzuka, i spun out before the race started end ended up in the gravel in turn one :D
 
happened to me in one of my first races online, was catapulted about 10 secs infront of everyone, felt guilty so handbraked at the end and let everyone past :p
 
i see people crashing as soon or before the race starts. that was in suzuka today.
 
Got hit from behind and spun into the barrier well before the start line at HSR
 
Sometimes there is some lag before the race starts, and the cars can hit each other.
 
It can happen. I was 1st on the line up before the race started then I was rammed to give me even more of an advantage. Needless to say I did take of advantage of the situation :)
I had quite a nice, non eventful, non ramming race. I am still using the beginner races as I haven't fiished the American A class races.

Yea that happened to me.
It was a 16 car field at Suzuka with me in the back in the Morrison Corvette, I ended up in the kitty litter before the race even started!
It just spun off the chicane all on it's own.
 
Its probably down to lag or the host may have just quitted the race before it registers to everyone causing carnage at the start. I just had the most weirdest race at Suzuka. One person I presumed was having really bad online lag kept zooming in and back at mach speeds across the track causing all kinds of whizzing noises and smoke (I have to say its the most foggiest GP i've been in). I got punted off which I haven't got a clue how, one minute I was turning gently at the hairpin and next I was verociously taken out of track and spinning like crazy. I carried on anyway and saw him at one point he was on the side of the track which I assumed he gone off by mistake and overtook him. On the next lap however he just zoomed past me again at mach speed causing more smoke and somehow won the race. There were only 4 runners in the GP aswell which just shows how weird and bad it was.
 
That's usually caused by bad synchronization (spelling?). If one player lags just a little bit, the netcode might "place" his/her car on the wrong spot causing to hit another players car which sends one or both cars with lightningspeeds.
