I wish I coukd see it, but I'm going to Mexico for the summer. That sucks dude.

Edit: I was going originally to Mexico for the summer but we didn't. Ozzfest already has begun, I think they are doing ther second show already. Hopefully I can still get some tickets, They are performing on the 27th here in Seattle.

Damn, Ozzy is still performing!? The guy can barely put a sentence together, not to mention being half crippled.

I know how you feel dude, I'm ging to be in Mexico, I'll miss it.

Edit: My mom cancelled our trip to Mexico, maybe I'm still on time to get some tickets.

It comes down to a 'pick the lesser of two evils' type situation. They both suck, so we have to chose our own execution style. Oh well.

Hey dude, they don't suck. Slipknot is one of my favorites.

So everything you like automatically doesn't suck? Odd how that works.

He didn't say that they "automatically" don't suck. He simply stated that he liked the band. He was standing up for them. That's something fans do. So quit the sarcasm and understand what he said before you mock him.

Anyways, Slipknot is a really cool band. Yes, their guitars may be pure power chords, but it's still fun to listen to. They got a lot of energy.

thanks dude, by the way Silverzone, Metallica is not turing with Ozzfest if thats what you ment.

The tour continues hard and loud see it before its too late. Since my family did not go to Mexico, hopefully, I'll have enough money to buy tickets. They perform in Seatt...uh Auburn on July 27, at the White River Amphitheatre

Click Here for the tour dates.

Did anyone see "Headbangers Ball" on MTV2 on Sunday, Jul. 18. The Special Ozzfest Edition?

I can;t believe OzzFest have JUDAS PRIEST there...I mean I know it's a more popular Metal concert, but they should have more dignity than that. They were good in their prime...now they look like a bunch of old men pretending to be exactly the same as they were years ago. Also, don't take this as a whinge about OzzFest not being good or something. I don't like much of the acts there as it's usually Nu Metal, Poser Black Metal and Old Guys,, but I would still love to see it. Some decent acts performing there though. When the list came out, I was surprised to see Lamb of God on the card...Slayer are a big attraction, a popular bunch of old guys, but they're an exception for me...

Also, like I said the card consists of alot of stuff I don't like, but it's better than last years by far. I'd like to see OzzFest venture out of it's usual place and head towards Australia, or some other big tour like it!

Besides Slayer, the other good ones should be Slipknot and Dimmu Borgir. Many of the "old" guys are performing for the first time then others. Such as Otep. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up Australia, but not as the Tour, but more of individual concerts. Like Dimmu Borgir, they are going to perform in South America soon, at least thats what they said in Headbangers Ball. I sure was surprised when Judas Priest joined the tour, but at least all the original members reunited for the tour and a new box set which they realesed in May "Metalogy".

(BTW Jimmy Enslashay you seem to post in every Music thread tht has to do with metal, I'm surprised that you posted in this thread). In just 6 days they come to Auburn. I'm so excited.

Dimmu Borgir, they are really cool also is Otep, I saw Dimmu's Music Video on Headbangers Ball the other day, and they sounded cool (that's were I also saw Otep's Video)

Dimmu have 1 good album: "Darkness Enthrone Triumph"...the rest is just another set of boring and typical Black metal...They're also a little bit overboard with the Film Clips IMO. But you like what you like I suppose...

Btw Gtavcfan - Why are you surprised?

Jimmy Enslashay - I'm surprised since there isn't any Ozzfest in Australia, so I thought you wouldn't be interested in this thread.

Anyways, has anyone been to this years Ozzfest? (and if you did, how was it?)

Well I still keep up with concerts, tours, etc. Especially big ones. I like to follow some. Plus, there are usually other conversations that emerge in these threads that I like to contribute to.

Cool! I never thought of that.

Anyone went to the tour yet?

(BTW, Jimmy Enslashay, usually when I first log on to GTPlanet, you are always the last to post on the same threads i post in such as "The Metal Thread", "Iron Maiden", and this one "Ozzfest 2004 Tour" and also some others. When I finish whit GTPlanet for the day, I'm usually the last one to post. The following day, you seem to post last until I reply to almost all of the same threads, I find it kind of funny  Once in a while, someone else will be the last to post.)

Lol, that's because usually the only threads I post in on GTP are Music or GTA. But I noticed that I always post straight after you.

And, yes I have a friend that went to Ozzfest, he sent me an Email. Said it was awesome, even the bands he didn't like sounded great (SJR, Slipknot, etc).

They are performing here in Seattle...i mean.. Auburn in two days, I don't think I'm going since I don't have enough cash to buy tickets, maybe next time.

I would love to go for the experience of being there. Even though 75-80% of the bands there are not my kind of Metal, I would still love to go. Plus some bands sound good live.

Well, yes some do sound better life. Some of the bands in this years Ozzfest I hadn't hear of (some I still haven't heard their music yet) until I saw their music videos. (I seem to watch MTV 2 alot) THe videos were cool, but the music I heard was even cooler. For Example with Dimmu Borgir, I hadn't heard their music yet, I started likeing them when I saw their Video on Headbanger's Ball: Ozzfest Edition, I think the song was called like "Progencies of the New Apacolypse" or something.

I noticed that while reading about their CD's on Amazon.com, and on Vh-1 website. I also saw them on the music video, and they seem to have lots of makeup or masks. I like more the music and some the content of the songs.
