Pace car in license test

I drove some license tests so far, one in particular in nurb where you must do one complete lap, where you get the pace car in front of u(skyline), that's quite annoying, as u must be behind and not touch it.

I must slow down during all the track, did other person get the same issue?
 
There are loads of tests with the pace car. Yes, if you touch it or pass it, you will fail he test. If you go slower, the pace car also slows down to wait for you.

Doesn't that mean that that test will be dead easy to get gold?
 
No, you have to keep as close to it as possible. I'm betting that's hard. Because if you slow down, it slows down, and since you can't pass it you are losing lots of time.
 
In GTConcept you indeed could pass the pacecar and let it bump into your back again to improve your time :)

Strange that people mentione that you ' fail' whenever you pass it. Is it not an a good thing that you were able to pass?

Or does PD now that the pacecar is not going to avoid you when you are on the racingline???

Edit: What make/model is the pacecar in GT4, pictures?

I think it's the same Nissan Skyline GT4 special.
 
I think it will make u learn to have a steady speed not just full throttle you learn to applay xx% of throttle maybe this is for beginers and people to get used DFP ,some times you don't full throttle right .
 
Perhaps it was a liscense they put in to teach careful and respectful driving?

It would be a good lesson for online racing, if it was included....
 
god i hate that pace car

its so damn slow on the Nurburgring license test with the 190E EVO II.... it keep slowing me down
 
finally able to slow down and not pass the Pace car on I-A 15... did gold on my first complete lap.... could've been like 30 seconds faster if it wasnt for the stupid pace car in my way
 
So to complete the test, you just have to stick behind this pace car for 13 miles. Do you have a time limit or is it just no passing or contact? Must be easy?
 
time limit is 9:02:200 for gold on that license

i finished it in 8:59 following the slow ass pace car all the way
 
Hey guys! Happy new year! Just want to say one thing, even though the Skyline is the Pace car, I promise you it`s not easy to get the gold :scared: But when you do, you feel like king of the world! Or atleast I do :dopey:
And another thing, it`s insane how much different races that are in! Get prepered to race for months! 👍
And another thing, you just gotta love the B spec! After you have been racing for ***hours it`s real nice to chill and let your own racer do the work! :cheers:

That B spec thing how does it actualy work? Do you just say 'overtake' an it overtakes a car? And does a fast car means you can be sure you win?

It all depends of how hard you push your driver, but if you have a much faster car, you`r gonna win! It`s not like you can have dinner and come back and se everything won
:dopey: It`s actually kinda cool! I have a racing chair, and after 24 hours in that it`s nice to be able to relax and let someone else do the work :cheers:

And how do you 'push' your driver? Can he make faults?
 
at aggressive lvl 5, the driver will always drive out into the track and lose control.

i notice that when i push an AI during race, he will bound to make mistake.
in the boxer cup series, i was in a Spec-C racing a CTR2, he was alot faster in straight, but slow in corners, i was able to keep pushing him until he made mistake in the last corner in Deep Forest

u cant just leave the B-Spec mode to drive for u in endurance...
u'll lose all ur tires and gas doesnt last that long. the M5 ran out of gas after driving flat out for 90 km
 
teaches you to avoid collisions, which in real life motorsports you dont want to do. doesnt matter so much when its only VR and a few pixels off your paintwork!!
 
yep i agree with that, the art is to stalk your opponent but don't hit him in the back while breaking, it's one of the hardest things to do in gt3 with that blind AI.
