Pagani Zonda R offical renders

Pagani has just released these official renders of their new Zonda R. Not much detail is known yet, but the word is it will be powered by a 7.3L V12 pumping out 750hp and 523 lb/ft of torque. Price is rumored to be around $2 Million dollars.

Daaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmnnnnnnnn...... that is one hot mamma! :drool: all covered in carbon fiber, it looks ready to race. But i was wondering, would they actually use it for racing? If they were, where do you think they are going to race? FIA GT Championship? Le Mans Series? Zonda R Cup? etc,etc,etc....

I think the rear is a little over the top, though.

It's racing nowhere. It's in the same category as the MC12 Corsa and FXX.
 
Looks more like something out of GT5 than real life or an artist's rendering.
Hopefully the car in real life will look better too... Just my opinion but that car doesn't look very good. I don't mind the all carbon look but the rear-end looks small compared to the front-end and windsheild. :indiff:

All that aside, this should be one mega-fast car. 👍
 
I'm kinda wondering what they were thinking with that roof scoop... could they make it any more complex?

Pic-> Hmm, very nice rendering! A Pagani on Laguna Seca!? Almost fictional, unless you play GT. Oh well I'll have to wait for GT5 then. ;)

Roof scoop-> For some reason, I agree with DWA, whats up with the roof scoop? It looks like it was derived from the Euro-Civic Type-RR rally car. I mean come on, I know styling maniac Pagani could do something a lot better than that! :indiff:

-> I really do like Pagani's, especially because there the only very few super/hyper cars that has three pedals and an H-gate. ;)

-> The Zonda R is a purpose-built race car so its unlikely we'll see it on US streets, in fact they're only a very handful of regular Zonda's (all from grey market, I think). But by gosh, look at it! :eek:

^ By the looks of it the F60 Enzo FXX and the MC12 Corse looks a lot more conservative compared to this Italian masterpiece.

This is the final Zonda.

As for badass, in terms of what? Styling, I get, but not even the dieting Mosler could touch this.

Although...the Carrera GT and S7TT don't actually have H-Gates. :D

Actually, I've heard the S7TT might be seeing its final years. LoD doesn't get them anymore without orders, and they said production at the factory is becoming less and less.
 
^ You get my drift, not a real H-gate, I'm reffering to manual trannies. ;)

It's a good thing this car is ending it's life cycle, since it's become totally nonsensical for the road. I think Horacio has finally realized his dream of out-ducting Lamborghini. This thing's absurd. It sure looks cool, but only as a LMP car.

Works as a track car, I guess, but only in reference to the FXX. Still waiting for Lamborghini's interpretation of the million-Euro trackday car.
