Ok, the Zonda R is not strictly a race car, right?

I have seen one on youtube being driven on the streets but apparently it isn't road legal either.

So is it simply defined as a 'track' car? Would the likes of the FXX, 599XX, F40 Competizione, Radical SR8 etc fall under the same category?

The Zonda R is not legal for racing (unless somebody creates a racing league for it) and it is not legal for road use. What it is is some absolute beast of a track car, its time at the Nurburgring is close to the times posted by race cars. The FXX and 599XX fall under the same catagory aye, but they are all completely different performance wise, i'm unsure about the others mentioned.

^ I have a feeling if a car doesn't have any logos, stickers, decals, etc Bazz, it is defined as a 'track' car. So the F50 GT would be a track car, the Koenigsegg CCGT would also be a track car because they do not have any sponsors, etc.

You probably saw the video of them driving on the roads outside the factory in Italy, could possibly be classed as driving it on private property, or driving it illegally.

i would say either one of those, the guys that use to live behind us took their promod car for a quick spin at 2am once, needless to say once.

Bet you could drive one in Thailand.

You can drive anything with a motor there.

Lawnmower anyone.

I quote Jeremy Clarkson,

"The price for one of these things is probably about £10,000,500,000. £500,000 for the car, £10,000,000,000 for your private track to race it on."

That's not how it works. The F50 GT did comply at the time to be eligible for entry into the BPR series. However, Ferrari decided not to follow through.

The CCGT was going to be available to teams for the FIA GT (as manufacturers are not allowed). However, rule changes killed its chance.

technically you can buy a country (or bribe their leader) to make the zonda R road legal, i don't think it is out of the reach if you can afford the car!

You can drive it in Germany on the autobahn. But look what happens if you don't have the experience to control it.
