Paint Collection Question

I was looking through my garage and well as with a lot of us our garages are filled with crap. I was thinking of selling off pretty much everything I don't drive and isn't worth trying to trade.

My problem is that I'm at something like 290 cars right now. If I sell it down to say 200 do I have to get my garage total back up to 300(ish) to get another special paint chip?

p.s. When I searched for a gallary of the special paints I found a matte one but no gallery (with working pictures) of the CS paints. Does anybody have a link to one?

yes...the system 'remembers' that you got a chip at 270.
 
Don't take this the wrong way but it all seems a little bit excesive for a paint chip, why don't you just trade for some ;)

Haha I'm not doing that just so I can collect paint chips I was just curious as I think I'm like 2 cars off of getting another so why start selling off cars when I get one in 2 cars? Anyways thank for the answers.
