I recently had my 1M paint corrected by a reputable detailer because it was a sin to have swirls on a color as vibrant and bright as this. The car was delivered to McKenna BMW and already had RIDS!! I think they washed my car during the pre delivery inspection without telling me. I dealt with it for a month after delivery but was steadily becoming bothered by the various scratches. Decided it was time to have someone tackle the various paint defects professionally. Detailing and photos courtesy of Jimmy Lucci. Give this man your money, he works produces top notch work and has many happy clients such as myself!! I am definitely coming back to this guy. He made me fall in love with my car again! Looks fantastic! I saw one of these in person yesterday the colour really suits the car well 👍 Shame you had to correct it in the first place..

It really does look great! The difference is night and day in person, especially under direct sunlight. Too bad it is still plagued by the factory orange peel, but that's very minor.
 
The 1M is definitely one of my favourite cars of the year. Congrats!

Seriously nice car there. Wonderful little piece of car you got there. Sadly there aren't any in the Dallas area up for test drive.
 
Thanks guys, I am enjoying the hell out of this car. I am almost fully broken in! This car hauls some major ass down low and the gearbox is lovely. I have some track days planned as soon as I order some pilot sport cups. But as it sits now, I don't want to even touch the car to get it dirty lol.
 
Looking good! Orange peel can be removed by specialist companies who can wet sand the panels back to a mirror finish. It's expensive but the effects are stunning!
 
Yeah I have thought about that but I honestly cannot justify the steep price of wet sanding the car. The orange peel isn't bothering me. At least not yet
