Pal disc on PS3?

Hi! I've got a US PS3 and I want to buy Gran Turismo Concept (PS2, PAL only) I know that for the PS3 games it dosen't matters where it come from but What is it with PS2 games? Will I be able to play a PAL disc on my US PS3??

what if you created a japanese user account, I have one on my us ps3 and it lets me hook into the japanese ps store, so I would think it could play PAL ps2 games aswell.
 
Japan isn't PAL anyway, it's NTSC-J :p

And no, because the non-ability to play PAL games on a US PS3 is a hardware thing (AFAIK), and it wouldn't matter what country your PSN was set to, as the PS2 games don't even use the PSN.
