As was mentioned before, today was officialy confirmed that European (PAL) version of GT Prologue will hit the retail stores at 26th May with retail price of 39,95 euro.

Game will host 46 driving tests (as Japanese edition) and 64 cars. No track has been mentioned yet.

Edition will be officialy titled "GT Prologue Signature Edition" and it will have additional DVD with footage of making GT4, as well as special message from Kazunori Yamauchi regarding the series. No details of distribution or quantities for this limited edition release had been mentioned.

Prologue will allow the data-transfer of some kind (probably licences) into final game-code.

Still no info about the bundle with GT Force Pro.

You should have posted this in the GT4 Prologue and besides we already know this.

I'm very sorry that you already know this. My deepest appologies to everybody who already know this. Knowing this already as official information is so cool.

Heres some other info from from CVG :

Other details worthy of note are that the limited edition title will inlcude 46 cars - with an exclusive Euro addition in the BMW concept M5 car - and 64 unique trials, the unlocking of which can be saved to memory card and resumed within GT4, along with your times and scores.

And when Sony says "limited edition" it means it. One retail source, speaking to us earlier today, said: "Sony is asking retailers to pre-order copies of the game now. It's only pressing as many copies as are ordered, as it doesn't want any surplus stock of Prologue on store shelves, which might detract from the release of the full game. There's quite a lot of game in Prologue after all."

The release is aimed for the end of May, priced around £25. If anything changes, we'll let you know.

Where is a good place to order it then? Amazon is always crap with pre-orders (I have pre-ordered stuff from them in the past and it has been in stores before They shipped my order)

I preorder from Gameplay.com. Most of the time I get the game in question the day before it comes out.

Wow thats a little pricey for a demo  If I didn't order the first copy of Prologue I might a bought this one. Hopefully someone can make me a backup :sly:

One might try lik-sang for a pre-order...

Not for a PAL release you wouldn't.

I pre-ordered mine from amazon.co.uk last month, as Play.com didn't have it then - and it IS a limited release.

Amazon are really crapy with pre-orders.
I pre-ordered Mac OS 10.3 from them. in the end I bought it in a local store before Amazon even said they had stock, the status page said it had been delayed by the publisher.
I placed a pre order with my local Game 'bricks and mortar' today.

ugh, anyone know a good site (like lik-sang) that accepts bank transfers (i don't have a credit card) and serves ALL of EU (as since 1st May 2oo4)?? :indiff:

Do you not have a debit card with your bank account? Use that if you do - I NEVER use my credit cards.

ok i'll try that in special reserve as amazon simply says it won't send gt4p to the address i supplied

damn lik-sang was straightforward: registered, placed order, got payment details, made bank transfer, got goods - no messing around with cards... too bad it's only good for imports and goodies :(

You guys should try DVDCrave.com they are based in South Australia but they ship to basically any country including the UK. They are pretty good with their prices too so try them if you want.

I was watching the V8 supercars and a thing popped up at the bottom of the screen and said Prologue is coming out may 28th!:D

o_O Damn, I missed that. I don't think I'd buy Prologue... I know GT4's a way off but it seems like a waste, buying half a game. I'd rather be awed by the whole thing, even if I have to wait. Depends on the price.

25 quid for a cut back version of GT4, sony must be laughing so hard. Everyone who buys GTP will end up buying GT4, so essentially your paying £60 for a single game :P

Yeah and they are charging half-game prices so its worth it too me, well here in Australia they are. I am a GT freak so I have to own anything with GT on it and Prolugue comes under that catergory.

@radi - Damm I was watching the V8's too and I never saw that, mustn't have been paying attention. Did it come up like during the race at the bottom or in the ads?

Sounds like one of the mid-race pop up ads they do at the bottom of the screen for Sony. What better time to do it?

It popped up after the race when the commentators were talking.
