O.K. everybody, if you like music and you always wanted to listen to a station that was totaly customized for you, this is the web site you need to visit: www.pandora.com. This is a free online radio, but it is only for U.S. residents, I don't know why, but that is just how it is. I love this online radio, but that is just what it is, you can listen to the music for free, but if you want to download it, you will have to pay for the music. I am in no way being paid by the company to say this, I just want to get the word out about this amazing radio.

its okay. last time i checked it out it didnt have too many "underground" choices. it was all stuff i could just turn the radio on to listen to. it never really found any matches to artists i liked.

old hat.

Pandora is nowhere near as good now as it used to be since the all that legal crap and licensing rates prevented them from streaming to non-US IP's. Same goes for Slacker radio. That said, there's ways around it (ie, globalpandora or a few ip cloakers), but the service isnt as good this way.

For international users, try last.fm 👍👍- still pretty old news, but imo it's an even better service than Pandora (that's something long debated all over the internet though). I've also tried finetune, live365, jango, imeem, deezer 👍, meemix, project playlist, and launchcast (and I'm sure there's many more such sites appearing every day), but I really haven't spent enough time using those to know how they stack up against last.fm - that's the one I routinely go back to.

Hasn't changed much, has it?

It was ok for discovering new songs, but I have YouTube for that now.
:sly:👍

YouTube + sound recorder + Windows Media Player = Quick and easy way to get music without risk of viruses. That's how I do it. My mom calls it stealing music. My dad and I call it "Liberating music from the internet."

Pandora is great for finding artists, that you have never heard before. But some of the 'similar' music they find is not a very close match!
