Panic Button idea.

How about a panic button that takes you to some kind of worksheet or graphs or something in that nature. This would be used towards people who are at work so that they wont get in too much trouble if someone were to walk by ie.. Boss, pain in the but co-worker. Just another Idea to think about.

It's quicker just to have an actual window open that contains work, and just switch to it by pressing alt+tab.



If someone just walks by mumble something like, "damn pop-ups always popping up, taking me to those stupid sites..."

No, it would be much faster for you to either close/minimize the window with either the mouse or the "ALT+F4" keyboard shortcut. Otherwise, you would have to scroll to the part of the page that contains the button, which would waste time.

Here's an idea: add a business-oriented website into the first of the "Links" toolbar in Internet Explorer, and move the toolbar around so that it is easy to get to. Then, in emergencies, just move the mouse up and click that - viola!
