I'll echo the Morgan/Exelero comments.

Interesting, but the outcome is inevitable. There'll be one or two concepts made, they'll be quick in a straight line, but won't handle worth a dime, then Panoz will scrap the whole thing before any are actually sold.

And what makes you say that? Panoz made the original Esperante for quite a few years. Not to mention it had a LeMans class win a couple years ago. The Esperante was known to be quite well handling, and light weight considering it competed with the Jag XK8/R, SL500, etc. The higher performance models like the JRD and GT-LM were quite fast in both a straight line and around corners...

Because Panoz don't have the money to risk this not selling. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see this reaching further development, but it's just not a feasible development on their part. Especially one that's planned to retail on the sharp side of $525,000.

I dunno about that, the Panoz family has a LOT of money. After all, they own both the ALMS and IMSA, along with owning several race tracks, a resort, and Elan Motorsport Technologies. I'd say their pockets are deep enough to fund development and production of this car.
