Ok, this is purely an observation, a late one at that. :guilty:

The park brake, or e-brake as it is also known as, it is something I have rarely used, aside from the odd occasion during rally driving. :dunce:
The other night while cruising Toscana (?) I propped on the road side to watch the fireworks :) and applied the park brake, as I would in the real world.
I was surprised to see it actually held the car from rolling....has this always been so, or is it part of the physics fix??

Maybe it's been this way all along, but I just feel it's one of the small details that make this game so great. 👍

Unfortunately, 'pulling' the side brake while at a standstill essentially puts the car out of gear, you can't for example in a FWD car engage the side brake and drag the locked rears with the front wheels.

Not a massive loss but still, it's just how it is.

But yeah as has already been said it's always been like that, it's just not one of those things you frequently notice.

I'll often leave my car with the side brake pulled to stop my car driving around on its own while paused online.

E-brake doesnt take the car out of gear its just when you press the E-brake the auto clutch will engage preventing engine stalling & when you try to pull away with E-brake on the sme thing is happening.
But I use a G27 with the clutch so all this can be done if I pull E-brake without pressing my clutch the car stall's. & if I blend the clutch in I can pull away in a FF car with the E-brake on. McDonalds trays under the rear wheels style drifting.

Ah, when I was saying "takes it out of gear" that's what I was referring to, I'm just over tired

My personal favourite is the 'drift parking' I think it was called? when you get the rear into the carpark and lock the rears with the side brake then turn the wheels full lock and floor it.
I don't drive FF IRL so I don't know if some special modification was done to make that possible but it was certainly impressive to watch lol

The parking brake will hold cars on most paved inclines. But the parking brake will not hold cars on a steep dirt or grass incline, just like IRL... it will slowly skid down the incline, this is funny to see (for me anyway).

Unless you're in one of the X1 vehicles. Park it on a banked curve, and the fan will actually suck the car sideways up the banking. Now that does looks a bit weird.

The feature has been in the game since the beginning. If you apply the throttle though it automatically disables the handbrake.

The E brake does take the car out of gear if your coasting at a high speed, you can hit the e brake to lock the rear wheels up quick and you are in neutral (sort of) You're free to shift through the gears while the engine RPM stays at an idle.

That is something I must try...
Will actually give me a reason to try and drive one of those horrible things, something I have avoided so far. :yuck:
