And FedEx does it as well.

See all of this crap from the delivery companies? I know alot of you are ordering Fanatec Wheels and they are being delivered by these carriers? I can't speak for all the individual UPS/Fedex drivers but look at this bs. Why is it being allowed. When you see your G27 or Fanatec at the door. Wonder what kind of flight plan it took to crash *eerrm* reach your doorstep. again i am not saying all of the individual drivers do this but clearly some do

And then people wonder why there G27 and Fanatec wheel breaks within hours of opening the box.....And then blame Fanatec or Logitech for faulty devices.

I personally am expecting a G27 to be delivered to today by UPS and i will be watching keenly to see how my box is delivered......That way i can wonder why my wheel won;t calibrate or is stuck to the left.

Yeah but you can't see the other links in the chain. I ordered 2 identical items from Best Buy one shipped from Cal another from Tennessee. Guess which one is more beat up.

:scared::scared: i edited the thread title to say *part of the source. good point sir.

I guess to sum up what i would say in a whole is that the entire "shipping and handling" process is destroying electronics.....How can we avoid that? There really isnt any way because even the products purcahsed at a store have been shipped and delivered. And if everything comes from china.... lol

The better companies invest in packaging engineering and perform countless tests. One of my clients sends employees overseas all the time to inspect and test their products and the packaging, to make sure their can handle the rigors and abuse of transport.

In the UK they have to let someone answer the door and products from fanatec MUST BE SIGNED for so it reduces this somewhat.

Your packages see that and worse everytime they get moved to another means of transportation. Just the nature of the beast, but thats pretty brave to do in front of peoples houses. Im sure if they where reported they lost there jobs. :dunce:

I always give my FedEx and UPS driver $50 for Xmas. My packages are left nice and hidden in a place we've agreed to. I don't even have to sign. Treat your carriers nice and they will take care of you. Of course this doesn't account for the douche nozzle drivers who are losers.

I don't think they make UPS or Fedex delivery men/women that can simply chuck a G27, T500RS or CSR wheel box. Unless they hire these types of people:

I am scared

When I was in college, one summer I worked at an auto distribution center. There was every possible courier there from FedEx to UPS to small courier services. They all had one thing in common. Not caring about the packages they were delivering. Even if the package had 'fragile' stickers all over, they tossed and kicked them into the trucks and went about their business.

When you order a wheel from any company, you pay to have that wheel delivered to your door in perfectly working condition. It's up to the company (Fanatec, Logitech, etc.) to get the product to you in that condition. When a company uses a certain delivery service, that service is functionally a branch of that company. If they have problems with damaged merchandise arriving at the customers, it's their responsiblilty to fix the issues.

Hence why Thomas makes sure Fanatec's packages are ready for the nuclear holocaust. :D

I have NO complaints as to Fanatec's packaging. They make sure it is cradled.

I ordered a tv online earlier this year, and I simply couldn't believe the state it arrived in. It looked like it had been dragged behind the truck all the way from Texas and then beaten with a rake for good measure. The tv was damaged both cosmetically and functionally, and it took well over 6 weeks to get it exchanged.

Then there was the $600 of computer parts that was left in my driveway where it not only could have been stolen by anyone walking past, but I almost hit it pulling in late at night.

So yeah, I don't shop online anymore, being able to see the actual product before I pay and having a location to go back to if there are problems is well worth it.

Dude, that last video is amazing. I love how it looks like he just threw a 60 yard touchdown. He even followed it up with a fist bump. UNREAL!

When i worked for an online paintball supplier we dubbed UPS "United package smashers"

I have also seen some attrocious package handling from trucking freight companies as well. Image 2 pallets containing 120 cases of 2000 paintballs each nreaking free in a semi. Pretty messt
