Hello, GTPlanet.
It's time I take another chance with a mini-opinion thread.
As you may know online, there have been all sorts of wish lists online. Some of which have been existant, banned, or going to be banned. As a GTPlanet member, I am normally obligated to stay devoted to the Gran Turismo series and reply to other threads. While I may not be the biggest voice of opinion online, I think based on a lot of topics I've seen in the Gran Turismo 4 category, I seen locked threads as well as "how many times are we gonna..." replies. So I think I'll offer this thread to speak my mind about GT4's upcoming release.
As I have designed threads and made replies, I'm only suggesting. I am a suggestion person, even if something is very good, it can still be at least 0.01% better. For the most part, I love GT as much as anyone, but I'm patient. Not all the time, but I am patient. I love looking at news updates and new pictures as much as anyone. And I know that Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital are working as hard as they can to make Gran Turismo 4 not only the best in the GT franchise, but the best racing game EVER. I am human, and I know that I cannot be patient all the time, but I am not around making wish lists once a week, but I'm pretty calm about GT4. I have school to worry about, and I am still playing GT3, only envisioning what Gran Turismo 4 will be like as I play. I seen a thread recently get locked because it was basically a "wish list." So my suggestion? Have PATIENCE! This will save people from having to post "how many more of these threads?" I love Gran Turismo as much as anyone, but if I were into college football, you don't see me asking "who's going to win it all this upcoming season?" If I were into ladies' fashion, you wouldn't see me asking "will (fashion item or look) be the hottest look at all girls SHOULD have in their closet?" I'm probably expecting someone to get on me by using this topic to use against me trying to act like I'm contradicting myself. Or as in contrast to what Barry White once sang, I'm not "practicing what I'm preaching." But for the most part, try to stay calm about GT4. Above my avatar, I know I got the "GTP Addict" (as of 03/28/2004), but I'm not THAT much of an addict about GT4. I'm surprised "X-Play" isn't sampling GT4 Prologue so that I can't get even more involved in GT4.
As I said, I love Gran Turismo and looking forward for GT4. I don't know what's going to be in the game, but I can surely visualize what GT4 will bring. Hell, GT4 could have alien spaceships, "whack the mole" games, a bishoujo game based on JGTC race queens, whatever... I'm not worried too much about the game. I never said that I'm not a SERIOUS GT fan. If I wasn't a devoted fan, I'd never would have joined GTPlanet. But just some advice, it's nice to get into GT, you need to calm down at times. I'm sure we can talk about features of the game in several threads, but let's try to calm down until the game's release.
