Hi,

Just read somewhere that those 2 wheels work both on PS2 and PC. (with drivers).

My question is which one should i take? Are there any compatibility differences ?

I would be really thankful if you could help me :)

Thanx ,

PS: Can you use the Logitech PC wheel Formula Force GP ?

I know you can use the logitech pc wheel with ps2 without any problems. I dont mean the 900 degree one the one before that.
I bet they're all pc and ps2 compatible cause they're usb and i dont think they'd make you buy 2 wheels if you wanted to use it on both platforms.

Thnax for the answer, but $150 for a (pretty) poor man is waaaay to much.:banghead: :banghead: :( It doesn't matter that much how perfect would it be but i can't afford it :(

PS: Is there any word on the Thrustmaster Ferrari wheels? (pics) do any of them work on PS2?

the best wheel other than the driving force pro is, imo, the Formula Force GP pc wheel. Formula Force GP has force feedback(obviously) and it works with both pc and ps2 through usb. It doesnt say it supports ps2 but it works fine I've used it before on both pc and ps2.

Logitech Formula Force GP- It doesnt say it supports ps2 but it works fine I've used it before on both pc and ps2.

Logitech Driving Force-PS2 Wheel
^^^wtf? i cant fix this link to look right...oh well

This isnt the newest ps2 wheel but it's basically the same thing as the formula force. The only differences are that the ps2 version has the directional pad and buttons like a controller on the wheel and now i guess it comes with the lap attachment. Because of this it's also more expensive, about $20 canadian. So if you have a table or something you can clamp the wheel to when you wanna use it on ps2 then save your money and just buy the pc version (formula force gp) cause you wont need the lap attachment and everyone can live without a few extra buttons on the face of the wheel.

Seems like the choice is clear.....one of them two:lol: My PS2 setup is still temp, so i don't know if i'll have a table or not :banghead: :banghead: Anyway, thanx a lot 👍👍

The unthinkable has happend:eek:  I saw last sunday (sorry that i didn't post earlier, i was in a trip to Switzerland):) So first i sold my old Sidewinder non-FF wheel on eBay for €30, then a used Saitek gamepad for €10, then put together the rest of my "pocket money" .

Initially i thought Amazon.com ($115 i think) was shipping the DFP in Germany too, but they don't :( At that time there was no sign of the wheel on Amazon.de. Next day i saw it for like €112 with free shipping and went like yay :lol:

So, here i am ordering it from Amazon.de (Germany) for €112. That was on Sunday, and Wednesday i saw a BIG amazon box in front of my house (like 1mX80cmX50cm lol ). Yep, inside was the wheel, but there were 2 air bags  near the original package in the big box.

So i opened it (opening it was very cool indeed :O ) and fired up GT3 at my big-screen tv in my living room.......the table i have is VERY strong and heavy, but somewhat slippery, so the first impression was.....like......yeah, the wheel is OK :banghead:

Then, i made my own PS2 DFP-stand  from a old pc-table (pic)

I clapped it on, turned FF to 100% and there we go :D First impression ?? The 900 mode was a bit un-apropriate for GT3, so i sticked with the 200 mode. (question: in the manual is 200 but when i turn it it's more like 180:confused: )

It feels very solid indeed, pedals are the best i've put my feet on, the carpet grip works very good too. It was a bit hard at first, because my old Sidewinder turned more ( 270 or so:confused: ) but in a couple of hours, i got most golds in the license tests:lol: so yeah, the wheel DID improve my laptimes :)

The wheel works with LFS, NFS7 and other PC rames really good, but it requires a bit of setup before you're actually on the road

Overall i'm very pleased with the wheel, and i never thought that getting it was possible :) Now, thank you for all of you for the tips, and i'd like to wish you a good day :D:D
