PC Handbrakes & Opinions

I've decided that I'll need a handbrake for my current setup. I find playing RBR without one a bit too difficult, sure I can set a button on my wheel for it but it just isn't the same.

I've researched a bit trying to find some and was just wondering if anybody can chime in with what they bought and how they're liking it? I know there's arc, frex. I really can't wait for a Fanatec one since I have no clue when it's going to come out.

It's just for PC games.

Go DIY route. Get a stick (or a real handbrake from a car), a heavy spring and a potentiometer (or a switch if you're ok without it being analog). Wire it to a usb gamepad and you're done. You save a pile of money that way.

You can also get a joystick and use it as a handbrake.

Thanks for your response. I was just checking the frex handb+, with shipping and the usb controller I'm looking about $220

Would a home made one work like a real handbrake? I really don't want an off and on switch. I do have a couple of wireless Logitech rumblepad 2's that I can rip apart, one I've already ripped apart to start building a wireless button box. Just need to find the solder points

Just get a TH8 and use that, its great.

Well I'm in Canada so I had to order the TH8RS from the Amazon US site and get it delivered to a US address.

So basically drive to the border which is 10 mins away, and go pick it up. Thanks for the suggestion, I never would of thought this worked that well as an ebrake. I actually wanted to pick this up anyways as a shifter, so it's a bonus.
