Hi,I need some help and advice concerning PC/Laptop compatibility in the US.
-Are any Blu Ray discs (from any part of the world)compatible(blank/movies) with any PC/Laptop?
-Is any type of software(from any part of the world) compatible with any PC/Laptop?
-Are any type of external devices compatible with any type of PC/Laptop(hard drives, cameras, batteries,SD cards, plugs etc)?
-Are any type of DVD's compatible with any PC/Laptop?

You'll just need the right stuff installed on your PC to run foreign discs and whatnot. I've yet to hear of any sort of region looking, but you won't be able to read Japanese kanji (for example) properly unless the language has been enabled for your PC. So, you should be fine with software/DVDs/BlueRays from all over the world. You might need some specific codec software to watch movies and stuff, though.

As for the external devices, you obviously need the right ports on your PC. YOu'll need the USB ports for UBS devices, SD slots for SD cards and whatnot, but I've yet to hear someone mentioning any sort of region locking in regards to that. I'm using a "German" PC (if there's something like that) with a German version of Windows 7 and am running all kinds of American or British software on it, never had any problem whatsoever.
