So my pc is back working again and if I go onto the net from my AOL page its fine but it caches to an old version of GTP, which isnt fine !

Now when I click on my inetnet explorer icon before the page even loads up I get the message

IExplorer has generated errors and you will need to restart the program.

This is EVERY time I launch explorer - a mate said it may be due to msn being listed as my homepage ??

any thoughts on how I can sort this ??

thankyou for any help in advance

bigj.

Tools > Internet Options > under Temporary Internet files, press the delete button. This will force IE to load a new, current GTP page.

Tools > Internet Options > under Home page, type in a new URL instead of MSN.com.

I do delete the temp inet files often but they come back almost straight away ? Is that how the site works ? Because it fills up with gtplanet files - and theres loads of them.

I'll change the URL thing and have a look at the program you mentioned Flerbizky

thanks a lot.

as long as you are seeing the right pages now then you shouldent have to worry about the temp files.

and yes, like he said get adaware, it is a great little tool :)

well now Im at work and this is how I know GTPlanet to look like, but at home its not the same. the fonts are bigger for some reason ??

I'll try the homepage thing and see what happens !!

👍 for the help again !

theres the obvious reply !!

Its not that though - its cacheing to an older version I think. I had this problem before. I'll see how I get on tonight

ty though

edit : having said that Ive just tried altering the text size on my work pc and putting it up a size does give it the same look as I've got at home

I'll give the ideas a bash

thanks again.
