I have been looking at buying a new PC primarily for iRacing, possibly Assetto Corsa too from time to time.
In the past, I ran iRacing fine on anything from a basic laptop to a regular HP quad core office PC with a little extra ram and a cheap 1GB video card to a "light" home built PC. I was always able to run the game smoothly with no issues but graphics would be set at medium to low for races, they could be set to high for testing.
I'd like to have better graphics during races but it's not required.
So I got to browsing and ran across Cyberpower, I know, before you say it they have for the most part horrible reviews. I don't get it though, just cheaply made? Cheap parts? Are the ones complaining pushing the system to the max and experiencing issues? Keep in mind this thing would be used ONLY for iRacing and maybe Assetto Corsa every now and then for kicks if it could run it which it may not anyway.
I AM NOT BUILDING ANOTHER PC SO DON'T SAY IT.
What would you all recommend? There is of course a variety of used PCs on Craigslist that sound good, but used electronics are always sort of sketchy to me. I will not spend more than $500.00. Anymore and it's a waste of money IMO.
Just seeing what you all recommend.
