Apparently, you can map motion steer in PC2 by simply selecting steer Left/Right in assignments and then actually (tilt) your gamepad in that direction. It detects it and maps the tilt for steering. I've done some moderate searching about this and haven't seen anything so I'm not sure if this known about.
Im currently using a ps5. For my camera view; I drive in cockpit view without driver/wheel enabled since there's no full rotation and animation. I then get the perspective a bit closer to the dash by tweaking seat posit. and fov and it looks fairly good in most cases.
-L2/R2 for brake and throttle and I map the right stick to look left, right, up and down so you get a full 'free look'
The steering settings I've found are very different from what I used with left stick steering; it's still a wip but these are what I'm using at the moment:
Steering DZ- 3
Steering Sens.- 38
Throttle DZ- 10
Throttle Sens.- 25
Brake DZ- 10
Brake Sens.- 41
Speed Sens.- 43
Controller Damping- 2
It's actually not bad at all. It takes a couple laps to sync your motion with the car and you can get pretty precise with it. Specifically, the turn in feels far better than I could get using the left stick.
Take a look and give this a try.👍
