PD need to make a online trade shop. - Here is my proposal!

I have an idea of how PD could improve the trading situation. Now for sure the rarity has gone out of the game, due to duping. However, I think it can still be saved to a point where it is more fun. Below is my proposal ( out of interest do PD ever read these forums? )


  1. Each user has an online showroom
  2. Each day a user can put a total of 5 cars in the showroom
  3. Each user can set a value up to 20 million per car.
  4. Special deals are allowed for one car, such as free chrome paint or includes free chassis repair / engine restore / respray etc.
  5. Your maximum sum of trading for the day must not exceed the 20 million Cr limit ( income total )
  6. Part exchange is allowed. ( cash plus maximum 2 cars )
  7. The demo option is available, so that each car can be tested for 3 laps on a track of their choice. However any mileage will not affect the car in the game ( so mileage will stay the same regardless of how many test runs )
  8. Gifting option to be removed totally.
  9. Potentially an online auction, but I think this would be way too complicated to make it work properly.
For me this would make it more fun, and solve the issue of gaining credits to buy that car you need. Putting a cap on it would stop people earning silly money.

That's a great idea mate if only it would be true
 
Great idea, would make trading much more fair and balanced, and also opens the door to people who wish to sell their specifically tuned cars. If and when a livery editor is incorporated (which is highly unlikely as DLC but a must for future games) then an online shop would be a fantastic way for people to cash in on their creativity.

Good Idea! 👍 And I hope PD will also include a cash limit or some sort so cars won't have ludicrous prices like a Caterham being 20 million.

Otherwise, i like the personal showroom idea. That is actually what i thought the UCD was supposed to be when i was reading the features of gt5 before preordering it.

Well looking at the response to this idea, is there a way I can contact PD and see what they think?
 
Its a great idea. Shame PD will never see or think about it. In fact it's been sai before that PD has no relation to GTplanet so I dont know why there is this new voting for new ideas thing either.

I've been wanting GT5 to just blatantly rip off FM3's Storefront and Auction House since the game came out. That would be bloody fantastic. Unfortunately, most of this community hasn't experienced the awesomeness of FM3's Storefront system and have no appreciation for it. It's 130 billion times better than the current system in GT5. Well..., not 130 billion..., but maybe a million times better. It's way, way, way, way, way better.

This would mean acknowledging that someone other than DP can come up with some good ideas, though. It would mean giving credit where due..., somewhere other than Polyphony. That's impossible, of course. Evidently, if DP wasn't already doing it, it was a bad idea.
 
I thought I would give this a little bump, with the aftermath of 1.07 still bitter in peoples mouths. Do you think this idea could help resolve the trading issues?
