Perhaps I missed something completely but with so many legitimate posts digressing into debates would it be possible to open a suggestion sub forum?

Reasoning:
PD does read this board but we can't assume English is a 1st language, and we don't want anything lost in interpretation. It would be an easier single place to go to read through players ideas, wants, and suggestions.

PD started doing a targeting survey, this means they are defining future products and updates, lets give them one place to go for our forward thinking suggestions.

A lot of members here have good ideas, some rather brilliantly simple that get easily lost in a random thread or otherwise pushed down from repeat posts.

Serves as a definitive place to see what people are thinking and asking for without reading the whole general board.

Keeps the general forum more objective. Face it, we have a lot of opinionated folks here thats ok, this could be a more proper home for them and require less moderation.

My suggestion that I would like to happily make a topic about but most likely not relevant to the people who come to the forum to learn something...

Suggestion one: Sub categories to store specific cars in my garage.

Currently I only have 160 or so cars in my garage... I'm now having to look through my garage to see if I already have cars for certain seasonal events and what not... This is like looking into a bucket or kids toy box with filters... Like a simple spread sheet... As I've started collecting specific kinds of cars I would like to be able to group them together... This is especially important as I like changing my "shared" garage by theme, sometimes I like putting all group B rally cars, or all Nismo cars, or classic muscle cars... I know its as simple as a few filters but this is clumsy and adds a level of cheapness to my collection.

I understand that it would be a lot of work to change it all together so my suggestion is to put sub buckets that I can populate myself, maybe a handful of them... Or even a few additional "blades" in the garage... I can only imagine what you guys do with hundreds of cars...

And other great suggestions that PD need to see that have become recurring themes are as follows...

Add more A-Spec events, many think this should be painfully simple and I'm one of them that things this.

Add more B-Spec while your at it or just keep mirroring them.

Add race distance options to A-Spec and other options like fuel and tire wear... perhaps 3 options with the 3rd having 1-2 mandatory pit-stops...

Some ability no matter how clumsy to save multiple tunes per car...

I'm sure these plus MANY more will become long time headliners and quite fun to read... Face it, all the disappointed people just wanted this to be the definitive racing sim... But alas, us gamers will have to wait longer... lets have this place that we, the console racers consider our definitive place to speak up.

Cheers

Email them. PD does not live here.

PD does in fact frequent these forums, and when they set aside the time to do so there is a much better possibility of consideration instead of reading their spam mail...

They read their email more than they would visit here, I'd be sure of it........

Nice try, but unfortunately it probably won't work. I tried to start debates on a petition I was going to send to PD, but the thread kept dying. Eventually it died for so long that a mod locked it to keep me from reviving it again. I don't really understand tha, since there are plenty of complaints on this forum, but whatever. Just wasn't meant to happen I guess :banghead:

The ironic thing is that what requires more moderation is endless wishlist threads after wishlist threads. This is another one of them.

PD did start their own survey, so they have their own methods of collecting data from fans. Personally, if I had suggestions for anybody, PD or not, I'd send them to them, not plaster them somewhere where I know they might visit, and only might even notice.

Having a "GT5 Suggestions Forum" would result in more members mistakenly thinking we have any sort of official ties with Sony or PD (which already happens more than you'd expect).

So, I'm closing this.
