I'm a brazilian player that has a psn account since 2008. At the time, there wasnt a brazilian psn so i had to make an american one to play games. Only years later they released a brazilian psn, but at the time i already had a massive friends list and trophies, and i like both of them.
Some people also move residence throughout their lives. I know @Pfei is an american living in Argentina for quite a while that would love to race with the argentine flag.
I also know that the matchmaking is linked to the region of your account. If you're an american guy living in japan using your american account, you'll race on the american server, not on the asian, creating a lot of problems for the other drivers on the room because of latency.
Letting us pick our nationality would fix all these things.
Final thing: If somehow someone with a different psn nationality from their real life one gets qualified for some kind of real tournament, what would happen? Would we be disqualified?
