PD, could you please give us some indication as to when we should rebuild our engine and refresh the rigidity?
The first is rather clear if you know the amount of bhp the car has with a new or refreshed engine. If the bhp of the car is below that amount after an oil refresh (which has a clear indicator too), you might want to rebuild the engine. You can even see the gain in bhp from it so you can make an educated decision on the rebuild. Still, you need to figure out some data for this.
On the rigidity, nothing is clear... This morning two of my bobs couldn't win the London track in the British Lightweight Cup with the XJ13 Chrome Line. They seemed to be less capable of handling the car. They won 100% of the many races I did before today. Is this a rigidity issue? It might well be. I have no clue though.
Imagine going to your garage with your car and the guy goes:
"We can do a rigidity refresh of your car."
"Well that sounds nice, but expensive... is it needed?"
"I'm not going to tell you, but we can do it if you want."
"ok... so after how many miles is a refresh needed, generally."
"Not telling you, but we can do it."
We, the gamers, are considered top class engineers when tuning 900bhp cars for races, but we have no tools to judge the rigidity of the car?
