Its a good start, but I hate what they have done with the Top Gear test track! Please update it.

1. Who needs cones when you have a racing line!! There should be an option to turn them off + the tyre wall!!! Besides pretty much everyone knows the track!!! You have to do challenges on it to unlock it!!!

2. Let us use the whole dam run way in practice!!!

3. Damage should not happen if you go onto the 'grass'!! Crashing into a wall that doesn't exist shouldn't cause damage!!! Let alone be billed for it!!!

4. No Top Gear cars???!!! What the hell!! Not as important as the others but still!! Seriously!!

5. I'd like to start my lap in Top Gear fashion. Standing still on the line!!!!

These basic requirements need to be met. It was just add

the runway is still accessible, just ignore the cones, but i do agree, they should make a few variations of this track, so we can use the runway for drag racing and top speed tests, etc.

I think they should add more runoff, especially the final corner. I think the inside could be kept the same to stop people cutting it, but the outside should have more run off so that you can slide round it. I ran a bit wide the otherday sideways and had the invisible wall not been there I would have made it, but the invisible wall pushed my car forward and resulted in my going off at the next corner.

I don't mind the cones, but it would be cool to toggle them on and off.

Do one lap where you hit EVERY cone.
Drive back to start/finish.
Enjoy :)

Paha, had a bit of fun with the cones earlier, on the straight after the first corner, hit every cone in one line and the bounce up and hit the windscreen at 130mph:). Soo funny but does leave a mess mind :/

I try to do that anyway after I've done lap times. I took all of the first row of cones at the first corner in my Murchielargo SV. Very funny and didn't miss a single one or went off the track. I may have to find my replay (as I saved it) and photomode it.

I'd be happy if they put in a Lacetti and Liana as Chevrolet and Suzuki are existing dealerships but they may have to add more Kia's to go with the C'eed.

I too would like the whole track accessable for some personal Top Gear car reviews.

The main thing of course. Standing Starts and real Top Gear replays.

If your going to recreate something from Top Gear why not do it properly?

There have never been cones on the Top Gear track when either of the three have been testing or playing with cars. Like I said the racing line is enough to show the course. Shame on you if you don't know it!

The Top Gear track was never really ment for racing, just hot laps and car testing. Even though the races on it are fun I want PD to keep to the original design of the track.

The options should be there along with the reasonably priced car. I'll probably have to wait till GT6.

Amen to all above comments.

They got the TopGear license and frigging ruined it. No online leaderboards. No standing starts. Not ANY of the reasonably priced cars...
...horrid oversights aplenty.

Oh sod it, we've got the ring at 6:20am (try it)

I don't have a problem with this, I don't use the racing line so the cones are helpful and I don't really see why they're a problem anyway.

Yes, have option to get rid of the cones for that though.

Don't drive on the grass. Was a bit of a surprise on the first encounter though.

The things they've missed out on in connection with this track are bizarre.

The key is in the name - Top Gear "Test Track" so the cones get in the way. You don't see Clarkson using cones when he's testing the latest.

Even the Stig found the grass whilst doing a lap around the track in a Koenigsegg CCX so it happens to the best of us.

My point being - PD has made some very strange decisions in this game, this and the paint baffle me.

Everytime I play the TGTT I get a bit more annoyed with it.

Rubbing salt in the wound is the age old "The Real Driving Simulator" strapline.

A) I hit a cone and the whole nose of my car lifted towards the sky and I couldn't see where I was going! This is half a tonne of engine, gearbox and bodywork lifted by a single plastic cone.

B) I accidentally spun out (rare :sly:) and hit an invisible wall in the grass - when I can see for miles.

C) I clipped the tyre stack in the middle of the figure of eight (follow through) and it stopped the car dead. We have real life 'knockable' tyre stacks at R246, why not here.....

D) Where is the bump in the grass at the start/finish line that gets a tiny jump if you run wide after Gambon?

Does get my goat all of this from a software company that promotes perfectionism.

I agreed with you about getting rid of cones if there was some sort of free run/roam, however, for racing or timed laps which is all there is at the moment I don't see the problem with cones.

The Stig never found grass, Ben Collins found grass..

the top gear track sucks anyways, even worse with a bunch of cones thrown about.

Out of all the really worthwhile good circuits in this world they choose some ****** run down airport runway in the middle of nowhere England.

It almost feels like they never watched Top Gear or something, someone just gave them a bunch of photos of the track and they modelled it.

It's not a race track, it shouldn't be treated that way, it's a track for hotlapping or general goofing off.. Really quite dissapointing.

Yeah they really missed the mark with the TG track, it's taken completely out of context. As a race track, I'll be honest, its pretty ordinary. It's the stig and the concept of comparing cars against each another that everyone is in love with, not the circuit itself. Without the TG/Stig formula, the track is nothing.

This has been mentioned already in numerous threads so hopefully PD take note and release a patch or something

They need to open the whole thing up, access to the grass area (it's kind of weird when you bang into the invisible wall), full runway...

But overall it's a fun track :)

I thought it was obvious that if they opened the whole track up and not kept some sort of lanes there would be no way to take your split/race times.

I want a standing start, other than that I don't really care about the other points. I guess the reasonably priced cars would be cool but I would rather go for the Stigs times than those of "celebrities".

I think they should have an option to get rid of the cones as well, the real track doen 't have them, why should this one? Also, their should be a wet version of the track as well.
