The above Pegaso Z102 is one of just two built and the sole survivor fitted with the so called 'Cupola' coupe bodywork. Built by the factory the coupe body sports an unusually large and bulbuous rear window, which resulted in the 'Cupola' nickname. It was displayed at the 1953 New York Auto Show before being sold to President Trujillo of the Dominican Replubic. That's when it received its second nickname 'El Dominicano.' Originally painted yellow with red wheels, it has more recently been repainted silver. For nearly two decades it was part of the Rosso Bianco collection and is now in the Louwman Collection where it is pictured above.
