For the umpteenth time since this e-mail debuted on the internet I received it again this morning. At least this time, the person who forwarded it to me was asking if I could check the validity of it.

I had a rough commute in this morning and it was the perfect opportunity to vent some rage at the mindless drones that simply forward things on to me.

If you've ever had this picture and the associated bogus story show up in your e-mail please take 30 seconds and reply to the person who sent it to you noting nicely that the entire story is fake.

This is a link to the full story: http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blmiss7.htm

Just my bit of inbox rage this morning.

It has to be true, I saw her yesterday. She was at the mall, with some weird guy. I sent an email to her mom, and let her know. The email box was full though, must have been tons of people that saw her that day.

;)

Wow! Last time I saw Penny Brown, I think she was eating a Nieman Marcus cookie and wearing her free Gap jeans while standing in line to cash her $5000 check from Bill Gates for forwarding the stupid "Beta Test" email to everyone she knew.

Wow, whenever someone forwards me a chain mail I block and/or delete them. I haven't seen that one before though.

 And she was driving around in my free Honda, too! No wonder she's a runaway...

I've received this email a few times before. And I just delete em'. I hate this type of mails, especially the ones which the ending is something like this:

'Forward this mail to at least 3 people and your life will improve!'

3-5 people: Your life will improve slighty
5-10 people : Your life will improve a lot in a few days!
10-15 people : Everything you wish will come true in 5 days!'

Damn losers. And I still can't believe there are people STUPID enough to send me this stuff, and claim they work. Losers.

Yes...I hate them. Like some are:
You will have a bad sex life if you don't send this to ten people tonight!

Or anything in the inbox saying "viagra", "get horny in X days" or "Do this within this amount of days and this will happen".

I hate those e-mails, particularly that latter one. :banghead:

www.snopes.com is my favorite website, especially the "Inboxer Rebellion" page.

I've publicly shamed enough people in my company who forward stuff like that to the office-wide distribution list that now everybody just sends them to me first and asks me to verify them. Why they don't just look for themselves, since I give the link out everytime I reply to one, I don't know. But at least they don't spread it around like SARS any more.

heh, when i get junk mails or chain letters, i flip out using caps, putting **** and/or other "harsh" words in.:) i don't get many replies from them or that company afterwards.

That only made my spam problem worse. :banghead: It's easier for me now just to use a keyword list to delete spam messages, and an account rule that preserves any mail sent by people in my address book. Works quite nicely, though some messages still get around the filter.
