Did anyone ever play Perfect Dark. I played it for the first time in ages last night and it brought back alot of memories! I think it is one of the best games ever made for any platform. The gameplay, graphics, sound, and all the features make it something that you can't put down. My friends and I used to play in the combat simulator all the time. My playing time is 4 days and 12 hours!!! That is over 100 hours of playing time! Wow! My character is down to level 6 - Assasin (I think) did anyone ever get to #1? Tell us what you think about the game.
 
It was a great game. Rare took everything that was good in Goldeneye and improved them. I'm still astounded by the AI in Perfect Dark. They shot out lights and glass railings, took cover behind objects, and ambushed you from behind. I bought the N64 Expansion Pak specifically for Perfect Dark.
 
Nothing can stop me and my Dual Maulers. I loved slaughtering people (and bots) with those babys. Power, speed and decent fire ratio. Very underrated weapon IMHO.

Heavy on the ammo if you use charge up shot though. My favourite Pistol Duo are dual Falcons with scopes. The laptop gun comes in quite handy as well (although ruins your accuracy).

What rating did you guys get on the combat simulator. I am up to 6 - Assassin. To get to number 1 you have to clock up 12 and a half days of playing time and 900 of each medal. I am around the 4 and a half day mark and 400 - 500 of each medal.
 
^ wow, you've played that game A LOT! :eek: But it's such a GREAT game! but I think it will be forgotten. I must say thought that the greatest pistol duo was double DD44's in Godlen Eye!!!! oh man, i'm getting aroused just thinking it! Man, if you had your 64 hooked up to your stereo, and turned it up, the DD44's sounded awesome! And the only reason I still like Golden better is that i'm one for realistic weaponry. I'm all about realism when it comes to guns. But Perfect Dark was soo way ahead of it's time in my opion. The combat simulator was good for hours and hours of fun!
 
Great Game! I loved doing comp stomps. I would go up against 8 meatsims (whatever the max was) and all maulers. Good times. I got to rank 11
 
I really regret it for not playing this game.I always said i would get it but never did.Anyway can we say one of the best games on N64?I think so.
 
between goldeneye, mario 64, perfect dark and the zelda games i think n64 has arguably the greatest collection of games ever created for one system
 
perfect dark i sone of my favourite games of all times.it was one of the only games i ever played on my n64.and whats even better, i hear they are making perfect dark zero for the xbox. :drool: :drool:
 
not bad considering it was once for gamecube, then for xbox now xbox 2.....

they may as well not bother now :)

surely with Doom 3, Half Life, Halo 2 there are better markets to concentrate on, namely conkers!!!
