When you have added all custom parts to your car, and when it comes to adding the turbo or fixig the NA tuning; do you max it out? I DO buy everything there is for the car, but 1000Hp on a Skyline just makes it very fast.. not very "comfy" though!

I'd say around 600Hp for an NONE Racecar! We're talking Standard cars ONLY, thanks! Racecars tend to be good at any HP so.. not them here!

Okey, here's the deal; What is the perfect horsePower for your car(s)?

Any more then that the car is uncontrolleble!

Off topic: By the way! I were at your homepage a while back and found some quality link to Jessica Alba piccys!! And your avatar rule!! :D She's one hot muffin! :magnify:

Depends on the drivetrain.

For a front-wheel drive car, about 200-250 Hp. Any more than that and the front wheels just overtorque, which is bad since they're doing all the work to begin with.

For a front-engine rear-wheel drive car, between 400-500 Hp. In road cars that's about right since the transmissions offered can't handle much beyond that very efficiently.

For a mid-engine rear-wheel drive car, 500-600 Hp is about right, though I tend to stay in the low end of that range depending on how light the car is.

For all-wheel drive cars, I usually stay with in the 350-400 Hp range unless I can really eliminate that inherent tight in/loose out feel they have, then I move them up to about 400-500 Hp.

anything from 400 to 700, more on some FF's.
i'll take as much as i can get into AWD's, though.
