Am i a one of a kind?

If i start a series or race and suddenly get hit by an AI car, or slide into a wall or something i exit the race straightaway and then go back into it and try even harder to not hit, or be hit by anything.

I've been like this for a while, and sometimes get very annoyed when i hit a wall, hit an AI car, get hit by a AI car, or something similar.

I like my races to be as clean as humanly possible, probably because i save the replays of any good races i do.

Am i going too overboard?

Yes - yes you are.

Wait for TOCA Race Driver, or V8 Supercars as it will be called here - then you'll have damage and aggresive drivers.

He shoudn't buy either of the games. They won't suit his style ;)

I know exactly what you mean :D

It just feels frustrating when you hit something at over 100kph and your car is just the same....

:gt: need to think about creating damage on cars even if its just domestic, but I guess modifying 150 odd cars to have damage would be 🤬 hard....

TOCA will be fun but I still think :gt: rules for graphics and tuning/settings/car performance detail :gcar:......

Do people really think TOCA is going to match The Real Racing Simulator?

Of course. ;)

Relax a little, hit an AI car once or twice during a race just for the pure fun of it... :D

Mustang:

I'd nominate you for the "anal retentive racer of the month" award. However noting the times and info from your website, I can't argue with your results. Loosen up a bit. I've heard rumors of the tires marks on the walls of Monaco (IRL). Often the walls help scrub off speed before a corner.

Nobody's perfect, you can do it...Should we start a twelve step program? That's good Robert Paulson, tell us what you did to an AI this week...

Congrats Der Alta, u just passed 200 posts ;)

And mustang, i think u are going a bit overboard.

How come its called V8 supercars?? not all the cars have V8`s or will they cut all the under V8 cars out??

Wow now that is strange, i mean I always try to race the AI cars cleanly but if I hit them (or most likely they hit me) I just shrug and get on with the race. Although I can understand sliding into a wall that really annoys me because I think if that was real life my car would have been a gonner and out of the race.

Mind you on Toca you know youve had a good race depending on the amounts of dents on your car, battle scars eh?

If there was car damage in GT3, then i honstley would not exit a single race.

And it's called TOCA Race Driver in England, V8 Supercar Race Driver over here in Australasia and DTM Race Driver in Germany etc... None of the cars are cut, Codemasters are just re-naming the game for all the different regions. :)

Wow I didn't know about that, cheers Mustang_Man....:D

It always makes things less confusing when talking to people from different countries in here about games that are under more than one name......:burnout:

I dont think your going overboard.
I too try not to hit the other cars.
Just think of it as real life situation and then youll see our point.
Smash the wall in real racing situation, you get broke. ;)
There are those times you may scrub another car, but that happens in real life as well and I consider acceptable.
Good luck Mustang Man and dont worry about your driving.

And remember that in real life there is no restart. ;)
