Performance Car Of The Year Award - GT5?

car magazine have recently run their annual PCOTY award. It features 30 cars, and each and every one of them I hope make it into GT5 (with the exceptions of the Porsche Pamnamera Turbo & Porsche Cayman S who more than likely, will not feature). Well, this kind of thing always gets me hyped up for racing in GT5, they split the cars into catagories (see below).

So, how doe's this relate to GT5 I hear you ask? Simple, I have a mission for you, should you choose to accept it... As these cars are hoped to be featured in GT5, and some also already in GT5P, I was thinking we could make our own PCOTY for Gran Turismo. All you have to do, is drive the featured car, around Suzuka, with the shown settings below and post your fastest lap time. The fastest lap timed car, will be crowned PCOTY in April 2010 when we can complete the list. Don't worry, I'll keep track of everyone... Think of it as a laugh until GT5 appears, and it'll keep you dialed into GT5P for a little while longer!

So, the contenders are: Cars in red are already availabe to test in GT5P! More cars will be added on a monthly basis, as well as new classes.

First... the car list you provide is so changed from the original, and the addition of changing any suspension and brake settings (and S3 tires), means its so far removed from the original spirit of their annual PCOTY. Plus it loses the point of "of the year" if we're using cars that aren't even contemporary anymore (the Mini is the s'charged model, The Focus has been facelifted, the STI is gone, the Clio V6 left years ago, the 350Z is obviously done, and the RX-7 has been gone for... 7 years). Plus, the Brera, Prodrive-tweaked model aside, has been trashed by every magazine out there.

Second... shouldn't this be in the Prologue, or OLR, forum?

Don't get me wrong, I always enjoy doing a comparison I see in Car or Evo, but the amount of cars available to simulate it are so small right now I fail to see the point. Even considering all that have been confirmed in screen shots, you would struggle to fill half the real lineup.
