Performance Points change online?

When I look for let's say a 550 Performance Points car in my garage and select it, go to settings for adjustments it suddenly has a different Performance Point value. This has happened to me a few times already and I can only think of one reason. This could be due to having changed the power with the power limiter and changed it back, and then somehow the Performance Point value in the list in my garage was not properly updated for some reason. It is a bit annoying, has anyone had the same issue or knows why this happens?
