Performance Points "PP" Automatically raising by 1??!

I have searched and found nothing, so apologizes if this has been asked elsewhere...

When about to start an event that is restricted by PP i tend to use the Engine Limiter if the car i want to drive is only out by a couple of PP.

The issue i have is... for example if i start a event with a restriction of 500PP, I tune my car accordingly. After completing the first race i'm unable to do the next race because my car has gone to 501PP by itself?

So i have to go back into the tuning options and turn it back down with every race till the event is completed?

I've had this problem since 2010? Its not that important and i understand that, but i just find it annoying :ouch:

Before i just start turning the PP down by a considerate amount so it cant go over is there a reason why it happens?
 
Every time you race a newish car it gains a tiny bit of horsepower, until it is fully broken in at its max HP. Hence the PP increase.
 
Yeah, when it comes to things like seasonals you just have to sit and watch your power curve deteriorate...
 
Full break in is about 300km/186mi. Until then you will see your PP increase as you drive. just pop the limiter down a couple clicks and you can keep going.
 
OMG and theres me thinking i wasnt a noob ¬¬ LOL.

The replies are much appreciated though, i'm gonna find it less annoying now i know why its actually happening!

It gets really annoying when your car is 500pp stock at 50.0% power...but that's another thread.
